The Meaning of

Mindfulness

By exploring the many ways we can apply and cultivate a playful sense of observation, you’ll develop practical tools for mindfulness to guide you both on and off the mat.

A Unique Opportunity

This retreat counts as the first 20 hours of our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, offering you a unique opportunity to step beyond your mat and into a deeper learning experience. It’s a meaningful way to immerse yourself in the practice alongside like-minded individuals—without committing to the full 200h training.

Save My Spot

Your Retreat Leader

Hi, my name is Haley! I’ve been teaching yoga full-time for over a decade, and I can’t wait to share some of what I’ve learned along the way.

I still remember the first time someone introduced me to a way of understanding mindfulness that went beyond simply “being aware.” It was a true aha moment—and it’s these kinds of shifts in perspective that I hope to share with you during this incredible retreat weekend.

What sort of workshops will we be doing?

We will explore the meaning of mindfulness through a series of experiential workshops that integrate both learning and practice.

From an intellectual perspective, we will examine mindfulness through two complementary lenses: a scientific lens, guided by insights from Buddha's Brain, and a philosophical lens, using the framework of the Eight Limbs of Yoga.

Beyond this, we will engage in a series of workshops through which you will establish a practical library of activities that can be incorporated into your daily life—transforming mindfulness from something you practice on your mat into something you live every day. These workshops will include walking meditations, seated meditation practices, mini mindfulness moments, journalling, and mindfulness through art.

Through this combined approach, participants will deepen their understanding of mindfulness while cultivating practical, sustainable skills for everyday living.

Do I have to attend all workshops?

On the weekend of the retreat, you will receive a detailed itinerary outlining fixed workshop themes and times. If you are attending as part of the Yoga Teacher Training program, you are required to attend all scheduled sessions. If you are attending the retreat independently, you are welcome to choose the sessions you wish to participate in.

What sort of food will we be eating?

The food for this event will be catered by Gathered & Served Catering. We have not yet set the menu as we hope to get a better sense of dietary restrictions before making any final decisions. We will be able to cater to all dietary restrictions with the exception of sever nut allergies as the food is prepared in a nut friendly kitchen.

Who will I be sharing a room with?

Accommodation's are beautiful semi private rooms with two twin beds. If you register with a friend, we will make sure you are paired together, otherwise we will be sending out a survey closer to the retreat start date to match you with a weekend companion.
